The General Social Care Council is the regulator for the social care workforce in England. As well as promoting high standards within the social care sector, its job is also to champion social care and to help give it the recognition it deserves.

Why might I contact the GSCC?

To find out the Code of Practice to which all social care workers must adhere
If you believe that a social care worker has acted improperly you can ask the General Social Care Council to investigate
All social care workers must be registered with the General Social Care Council
You can find out information on social care workers, to ensure that they are registered
